ABOUT "Guess My Color!"

The "Guess My Color!" feature is meant to be an educational game that you can play if you like. Or you may choose to simply read and review the entries. It's totally up to you.

While DCS is a web site dedicated to studying, educating, and presenting information about the dun dilute colors, this game will not necessarily be limited to dun colors, as it is the view of DCS that the education of all colors is important.

Whenever a horse comes to my attention whose color I feel would be fun to present here, a new game will begin. Older game entries may be deleted at any time to conserve web space.

When the answer to the current game has been entered, the game will be closed to further entries, but the game entries may remain viewable to visitors until the next game begins.

A new game will begin when a new horse of interest comes to my attention. There may be indeterminant periods of inactivity, while awaiting that next horse of interest. So you may need to check back now and then to see if a new game is "in play".

Sorry, there are no tangible prizes available if you guess correctly. But you will be appropriately commended for your winning guess!

 

HOW TO PLAY

To play "Guess My Color!", visit the Guestbook, view the entries made by the site owner (Nancy Castle), which will contain a photo and possibly a clue or two.

Please be aware that the newest entries are displayed at the top, so you will need to navigate to the "oldest" entries to find the entries containing the photos and clues. And additional photos and clues could possibly be interspersed throughout the current game. So do look around!

Then you simply sign the guestbook with your guess or guesses. It's that easy!

RULES

Just a couple of important rules apply to this feature. Please read and follow these rules, or this game may terminated.

NOTES: When making your entry, you do not have to provide any personal information that you are not comfortable having displayed to the public.

Although an entry is required in the Name field, you are welcome to only use a first name, initials, farm name, etc. But do be sure that it is not identical to the "Name" that anyone else is currently using. This suggestion is to avoid possible confusion ... just in case you are the one who guesses correctly, we certainly want the credit to go to the right person!
